Very nice hotel, very clean and well presented seating areas around the hotel. The food in the hotel is incredible however it is quite expensive. However with a mid range hotel like this one right on the banks of the River Tyne you should be willing to pay a little extra for the excellent place that the Copthorne Hotel is.
Really good hotel with lovely views. Bar is open till quite late and you still can order food at the bar till late (freshly made sandwiches with crisps and salad) which is just great as I had a bit to drink and was in a need of something but couldn't be bothered looking elsewhere or ordering for delivery, so that was just perfect. Room was just perfect same with lovely views. And very nice staff.
Celebrated the new year here at their gala dinner, very disappointing! Plus points. A lovely room overlooking the river with access outside for the fireworks at midnight. Great service. Minus points. Very disappointing food, some of which was actually unpleasant! Weak and insipid cocktails which were overpriced. No live music. It was not a cheap event and it was not worth the money. We will not return.
Christmas 2018 lunch was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. All staff wonderful and a massive thank you to Jess for going that extra mile.. very friendly, bubbly and attentive! Well Done Copthorne!
Amazing hotel with all rooms on the Quayside. Facilities and service were great. Within 5 minutes walk from the town centre (and 5 from the Metro Arena). Slept soundly with the lights of the many bridges across the river for company and woke to an incredible breakfast spread. Will definitely be back!
