The jeep compass was my ideal car for my disability. So through the motability I decide to order in September. I chose the compass limited in Mojave sand colour. Over the next month or so I visited the show room to pay money off the deposit and dealt with Jason. At no point did he suggest any issues. Finally one week and one day before My change over date I still had heard nothing. No call to make appointment or any updates. So one week before My change date of the 4th Dec I rang to speak to Jason to be told oh we can't get these cars you can't have Mojave sand Tony shouldn't have let you order that Blah blah blah. Jason was finishing for his holidays and passed me on to Scott.Next day I rang Scott who had no clue who I was ir what car I wanted. To cut a long story short the paperwork for my car had been updated with motability but the actual order of the car had not been put through to manufacturer. So 1 week before My change over there was NO car.Failure after failure. Then jason told me we have a car Mojave sand and u can have that. Ok I said. Spoke to Scott and all was verbally agreed until 1 day before pick up. Scott rang and asked what time I was going in to change over and "I'll just run through the car with you... So we have a compass 1.4 Longitude with winter pack in Mojave sand"!. No I replied that's not the correct model. So basically Jason had told Scott the car was correct but it wasn't. So now back to no car 1 day before date!!Scott eventually rang me back and said we have the correct model but unfortunately it's in white not Mojave. By this point I was so dissapointed and let down I agreed to take the white. In all the years I've been with the motability scheme I have never come across so much incompetence within one company. On the day of the handover I was introduced to the sales manager to raise my complaint as I told him I have the same rights as someone buying a vehicle and had been let down on numerous occasions. Albeit very apologetic he refused to waive the final 100 of the deposit and said I will need to speak with those above and see what we can do for you because I agree we have failed. I have still not had a courtesy call to let me know. The name Jeep to me comes with a certain standard and on this occasion jeep failed as did it's standards. Two members of staff failed to realise my car had not been ordered 3months prior to pick up. And all of the lies that followed to try and cover up their errors.Scott was left in the lurch trying his up most to rectify his colleagues mess and I have to say with correct training Scott has it in him to be an excellent motabilty consultant. As for Tony and Jason... retraining is needed. The car is awesome and fits my needs perfectly but my experience tells me I will not come back to jeep after my 3 yrs are finished. Once bitten.Anyone ordering a vehicle please be cautious and ask for regular updates or else you could find yourself in the same situation as I was. 24hours to go and No car.Now 5th Feb 2019 and my brand new compass has been back with this dealership since 12th December 2018, awaiting parts. Thats exactly 8 weeks, one week I had the car and they have had it 8. All I get when I ring is we are waiting parts, No correspondence, unless I contact them either and as for Ryan, the manager, he is rude and has zero customer service skills.Motability, have been paying for hire car for 8 weeks now, and because Richard Hardie cannot give a date for the car to be fixed, motability have now cancelled my contract, so Ive lost part of the 995 deposit I paid, and nearly a full tank of fuel.I wish I had never changed from the qashqui in the first place. I wish I had ran a mile when I found out the order wasnt done, maybe that was my chance.Motability customers are more vulnerable people and rely heavily on their transport and level of service is usually a priority, but not here Im afraid. The complaints dept, have also failed to reply to my email dated Dec 13th and 2nd January.Ive now gone back to Nissan.
after a bit confusion on how too pay for my wifes lovely vauxhaul corsa, I would like to thank richard hardie for there amazing service. Let me explain.......we bought the car in question a week ago only for the brake booster to fail ( unfortunatly can happen any time), and nikki and service manager arranged a pick up truck to come too south shields and take it to newcastle. They have ordered part but not comeing till friday SO they even arranged a hire car for the week. there warrantys are well worth it and they honour them 100%.......I wouldnt hesitate in recomending richard hardie
Went in to see Scott great salesman no pushy techniques. Unfortunately on this occasion we bought else where however would 100% recommend Scott as a salesman to anyone. Will return to see him in the future and any of my friends or family will be sent his way.
Just like to say thank you to the Service Advisors at the Newcastle branch Alfa Romeo , fully explaining what the repairs and costs to my car involved and for keeping me fully informed and aware of its progress, very professional service, once again many thanks.
I do not normally do reviews but on this occasion I feel I need to do so. I was in the process of buying a fiat 500 from Richard Hardie Scotswood road Newcastle. The person who dealt with myself was Tony I can genuinely say that both Tony and Simon the Manager and another Sales gentleman were easy to talk to and although the deal I was offered was good , because of a technical issue from my side I was not avaliable to proceed. I have no problem recommending Richard Hardie Scotswood Road newcastle and there staff
